Twangin' In Twees

Try not to get too excited tonight when you play these gems and rush around your mansion with your pistols drawn acting like you are running from the law, ok? Note: the first clip is the movie; the second clip is Earl Scruggs and a host of banjoers; the final clip is Chicago's own Special Consensus playing in Ireland last winter in tribute to Earl, who passed last year. Get your motor runnin', the law is commin'!

Whether Vain

One can take on the temperament of the weather itself. When storming one can be mad; when sunny one can be cheerful and sunny; when snowy one can be cold (to others); when raining one can be rainy; when foggy one can appear confused about things; and when misty one can be....misty. In answer to your next question...the thing to do is pour your favorite beverage over cracked ice, turn on some diffuse lighting and let the Hammond B three mistify you. Like this....

Call Suzy Chapstick

Have you had your Me Too Moment yet this summer? Step into the zone of prettified, villified and funkified two-dimensional folk from the polyester decade. Seen any of your favorites whom which you are unremorseful?

Heaven Blue Wichu

Dial It To Eleven Friday wouldn't be Dial it to 11 Friday unless you actually DID Dial It To an eleven on a friday. Here is your opportunity to fulfill those dreams and aspirations because it's Friday and dialing it to 11 will take place now. And it's been far too long since we played a punk rocker like Trash by these good gentlemen of rock. And yes, by goodness, David does resemble Mick and yes they rock and yes, lead guitarist Sylvain Sylvain does shred shred. Yes. Dial it Now. To Eleven. It's Friday. So Up, Up With Your Amperage, and Down, Down With the Man, and Fly, Fly Away on Rock Music. PS we're available on Facebook once again after a long hiatus. Hi there.

Out

Where else would you swim in the cool blue water or soar up against the azure sky? Nowhere, that's where. There are many Cafe Del Mars around the world - one in Ibixa, one in Singapore, one in Ft. Lauderdale. But it's a state of mind - the state is chill.

To me

Rockin out is what you like. It's Friday. It's the weekend. Need we say more? And while you rock you can go check out how fast and far the Voyager ships I and II are cookin out toward interstellar space. NASA likes to say they aren't quite there yet. But The Milkshake declared Voyager I in interstellar space a year ago and we have our sensing equipment here at the station to back that up. Why we are so sensitive we can detect when Storage Wars comes on clear in the next room just by listening to the sound of the tv with our sound sensor. Convinced? Check out the Voyagers at voyager.jpl.nasa.gov and watch the kilometers fly by. 18 billion? That's a road warrior. I'll bet little Voyager needs a friend out there far away. We are beaming this tune out there, way way way out to U.

Lefty + Washout

Here is all the news you need....Yaahls and Kaahls will NOT be coming around this summer for an encore. Awww! They are touring north dakar or they are touring north dakota, we can't read their presser because it was spilled on. It smells like whisky. There is still no sign of Spirit the wonderdog. We can only wonder and hope. We have received a few letters and if someone remembers, we will share them later on this month. Last up, even though NASA reported its 10,000th near-earth asteroid discovered, it doesn't mean we aren't without the company of many hundreds of thousands more. Stand by, and, watch the skies. Dick Dale, father of surf guitar, is coming to the Chicago area in a few weeks. You know the Milkshake will be on hand. You know that. Let's let Dick ride us out on a Banzai Washout so we all feel very cool. Very. Why does he sound so different than everyone else? Maybe because he's a lefty playing a guitar strung for a righty. It's the upsidedowness of it that washes over you. Dial it up high and play it in your backyard all July 4th....Loud! After all we like it loud and proud.
