Burnout Nation

Spring means summer is coming and that's close enough for us. Celebrate summer of the mind as we return with all the ass-kickin shit you've missed. It's a new year and we're back with a vengeance o milkshakers! We took a lo profile for a few months but no more. Howdy! How r u? You're looking particularly tasty with your rum-n-coke grin and your palm tree embroidered socks. My-my how we missed you! Today we are amping you up hi hi hi and high (oh yeah, did I say HIGH?!) with americruise burnout parties that go on every summer and don't you know the milkshake is going to try to get to one this summer. It's just too too funny and rowdy and rubber-burning awesome to pass up. Don't be surprised if we are in the clip for this time around. No, don't be. Ok so, here's what you do: you play the burnout clip and play the car songs at the same time and let them play one after another and you'll have a cacophony of hot rod rock glee going on that you might fall in lust with. There's so much smoke and squealing tire and great rock that you might play this all the way till it actually IS summer on your calendar! (And that's just fine!) If you haven't already visited, roll your sweet ass over to the website songfests.com and go to Jan and Dean's Deadman's Curve and dig Artie Cornfield's recollection of the making of the song with Brian Wilson and Jan Berry. Coolly-cool stuff man. 1960s mopars were fast but didn't look it. That was the buzz. They had tigers under the hood. That was rad. The songs to play while you watch the americruise burnout clip are as follows: Shut Down by The Beach Boys; Stick Shift by The Duals; Greyhound by The Nightmares; SS396 by Paul Revere & The Raiders; and Hey Little Cobra by The Rip Chords. Other good car cuts to cue up are Little Deuce Coupe, Fun,fun, fun, 409 and Deadman's Curve. Isn't it a blast to be back?! Now honk, cruise, burnout, show some titties, smoke some tires, be joyful, scream, holler, whoop and laugh. Life is short. Live it like you're young no matter what your age. Thanks for being here and let's do it all over again all summer long (meaning our whole life long!) Play hard, have fun, milkshakers. Here we go....
