I'm A Real Troubleshooter

"Find out" like BTO did in the 1970s with "looking out for number one". If you remember that decade, they say, you didn't have a good time. The coolest of the cool tunes for a mellow summer evening. The windows are cast open here in the tower. Cool your mind with .... every trick in the book.

catch and release

Waves is what we got today. Ride them, immerse in them, flow with them. Thanks to those who have drifted over to our baby, the new Coffee Shop Index blog. We will officially launch in July, looks like July 7. (7 - 7 - 7 am) We will shout from the rooftop as it gets nearer. Now go about your business. And hopefully it's monkey business.

Summerific

Big moon. Warm night. Stars bright. Night patrolling around the streets in the dark. Yet, milkshakes, the blog has work to do to rectify a slight blockage in posting music. But we will achieve sooner or later. Yessiree.

skyin'

Two. There we said it. Not one but dos, as in two. Say it in food. Say it in the eyes. Say it in the actions every day, right? But say it to the one you love in the rain or in a groovy way but by all means say it. These two cover it pretty well.

Summer is somewhere....truth that! Don't ever look up the question: can you go faster than light? Whoa! All the answers dissolve into mind-blowing equations nobody can understand. Will love last more than one day, Buddy answers that:

....We can't wait for June....

A little Surfin' USA to get you in the mood. And why not 'Surfin' U-Ni-Verse' too? Get astro-blastin' over to the Science Channel for all their clips on space. Ever check out the tv show? Who knew they had science sirens the likes of Brittany Brand, Amy Teitel and Sara Seager. Another reason to watch! Don't get blinded by science but by all means go geek out on the cosmos! Is there better summer music than these guys? Someone said about the Beach Boys: "they've been part of my life since the 1960s and I'm still ridin' that wave." Right back atchya buddy. Right back atchya.

Talk about God in his mercy

Don't feel sad. You've got us. And you've got music. And music is the great difference maker. Another Saturday Night has been done by throngs but we prefer the Cat's live rendition. "Find me a honey...." tell it brother Stevie! Then we have the full irish breakfast at midnight with Gilbert's Alone Again (naturally). It's the 'naturally' part that gets all of us, isn't it? God bless the irish! Saturn is awesome all over again. Photo to prove it. Stay up late all the time and cheat time. Music will get you through kids. Music! Yes Music!!

excelente

Seven years milkshaking we're hurrahing for the next seven days. Where were you April 22, 2009? We are going to sizzle you up with musical menageries made for mashups. You play them; get cool with Walter, look over your friends: you and Boo; and why weren't you born to follow?....News: none of us were. Hail to our individualism long may it shake in the breeze! Walter started the samba thing, all on that electric organ of his. Get out on the road with Lobo and get living off it! Last: Easy Rider flipped off the world and we love 'em for it. By the way nationalcalendarday.com tells you what each day is named. I hope they leave a day totally blank for the no national calendar day, day.

Star-Wind, Star-Lord....and a Starry, Starry Mind

Hey There! "Lookin' Good Pancho!" "Feelin' Good Lefty!" So question of the day: do you surf google or yahoo? And don't give us this 'both' biz. Want to go up and hang out on the International Space Station and see what's shaking? Sure you do! Orbit on over to www.ustream.tv/channel/live-iss-stream and check the action on the ISS feed. Swing on a star!....You're now halfway-to-the hag. He's up there. Willie is singing to him. Hear the twang off the moon? Yup! ....Looking to get "way out man!", check jpl.nasa.gov and star-swim over to the Way Out Worlds article....they are searching for rogue planets and it's cool what they might find. Now you've found this place. More of you keep piling in the doorway. It's the stars you reach for, the stars, see?....always look to the stars that's where the fun is.

Did you have any FUN? ....Huh?

The number 60, and descending, is rattling around in our milkshake hemisphere tonight. That's how many days till meteorological summer arrives on crescent wings of amber, or some shit like that. We've included a nice little graphic from NASA. Go on the web to NOAA and check it out. Other numbers might fucking excite you.....54, 33, 21, you know those mutherfucking fibonacci numbers, golden ratio and so on, we've heard way too much about lately. (My, my we are swearing a shit more than ever this year aren't we?) Oh well, send the kids to bed!
Check out this science transmission video from the days when the world was all black and white and formal. It's cool learning exactly how gears work if you didn't already. Do you ever think of me? Well Head East did long ago penning this beaut. This is a nice hi-def version that will quake you and shake you (or something.) Listen to it after the gear video and your night will complete itself.

Burnout Nation

Spring means summer is coming and that's close enough for us. Celebrate summer of the mind as we return with all the ass-kickin shit you've missed. It's a new year and we're back with a vengeance o milkshakers! We took a lo profile for a few months but no more. Howdy! How r u? You're looking particularly tasty with your rum-n-coke grin and your palm tree embroidered socks. My-my how we missed you! Today we are amping you up hi hi hi and high (oh yeah, did I say HIGH?!) with americruise burnout parties that go on every summer and don't you know the milkshake is going to try to get to one this summer. It's just too too funny and rowdy and rubber-burning awesome to pass up. Don't be surprised if we are in the clip for this time around. No, don't be. Ok so, here's what you do: you play the burnout clip and play the car songs at the same time and let them play one after another and you'll have a cacophony of hot rod rock glee going on that you might fall in lust with. There's so much smoke and squealing tire and great rock that you might play this all the way till it actually IS summer on your calendar! (And that's just fine!) If you haven't already visited, roll your sweet ass over to the website songfests.com and go to Jan and Dean's Deadman's Curve and dig Artie Cornfield's recollection of the making of the song with Brian Wilson and Jan Berry. Coolly-cool stuff man. 1960s mopars were fast but didn't look it. That was the buzz. They had tigers under the hood. That was rad. The songs to play while you watch the americruise burnout clip are as follows: Shut Down by The Beach Boys; Stick Shift by The Duals; Greyhound by The Nightmares; SS396 by Paul Revere & The Raiders; and Hey Little Cobra by The Rip Chords. Other good car cuts to cue up are Little Deuce Coupe, Fun,fun, fun, 409 and Deadman's Curve. Isn't it a blast to be back?! Now honk, cruise, burnout, show some titties, smoke some tires, be joyful, scream, holler, whoop and laugh. Life is short. Live it like you're young no matter what your age. Thanks for being here and let's do it all over again all summer long (meaning our whole life long!) Play hard, have fun, milkshakers. Here we go....
