My Ding-A-Ling

With another email from one of you guys about the shooting the breeze blog from a week ago, it was decided that some further 'breezing' must be accomplished. This is the breezing song that should put an exclamation point on the topic. Here is your happy tune to "breeze-out" to. So what are you waiting for....let it breeeeeeze baby! Yes there has been talk of The Big Bang's first episode last night. It was funny as always and had good continuation along with some shades of things to come. If you want to make comment use the 'comment' button below. Also, if you are stargazing Saturday night, keep in mind it is the Harvest Moon. Farmers can harvest crops into the night. We will pick our cherry tomatoes and eat them right off the vine by moonlight. They are growing out in the back forty. We will use a flashlight to locate them. We hope. Now let's finish up with this little baby (ten minutes long but worth it) that is solely designed to make you grin, giggle, laugh outloud and have you singing along. Don't be bashful. Open all your windows and cut loose. If you aren't singing along then shame on you, and, as Chuck would admonish, you must be busy playing with your own ding-a-ling!

HE'S crossing it in style someday....that day arrived

The Milkshake's glittering studio and consoles are dark tonight. Andy passed. He helped millions find their "rainbow's end". Beautiful, haunting song that will outlive all of us no doubt. Peace AW. Your host just got back from the Ryder Cup at stunning, magnificent Medinah, west of Chicago. Awesome. Thrilling. And oh yes, Tiger, Jimmy and the boys assured me it's in the bag this weekend. We will be watching and remembering every hill and hollow on that patch of woodsy earth.
Time til the Big Bang Theory is growing thin. It's Thursday night at 7 pm cst. ....it all started with a big......BANG! PS Goodnight my 'Huckleberry Friend'.... ....Moon River and Me.

Danger is in the Bolts not the Volts

Firstoff: Have you flashed back to your former self and were you playing with robots? Mebee? Well there were robots in my closet. This shot is from the Museum of Sci and Ind from a few years back. It's a tease because The Milkshake will be doing a segment all about your old-time toy favs. Stay tuned in the coming weeks. Secondish: A couple of you let me know you totally enjoyed the posts from the last week or so. Merci! One of you liked the Breeze post and somehow that led to chatting about the word 'spiffy'. Why? We don't have a clue. But it was determined that spiffy means cool, clean and maybe with turtle wax, mebee. (That's twice I've said 'mebee' --oops, make that three times now.) Also the hits on the Milkshake blog went thru the roof Friday. Wow. You guys like nostalgia. Dunka! (It has been noted by my production crew.) Thirdliness: you all know the Milkshake is just crammed-loaded with content, ie songs, science, and nonsense, especially nonsense, and will continue to be---just to blow you along thru the fall season carefree as the wind and when we reach November, hereby christened 'Whovember', the month of The Who concert, we will play steamer-trunk-loads of The Who. Look out for some Who overload. And then we will rock you out with a fantastically funrific December and Christmas with several first-ever blog post features along with tons of nostalgic and feel-good junk in all manner and kind.
Crank this one to 11 because one, you need to rock, and two, Rick's voice becomes robotic on the outro. (That's music-speak for at the ending.) I always thought that was so cool. Listen as it morphs into robotica. BTW--luv dem glasses! (Who knew that 30 years later mine were going to be bigger!!) Yeeeeowch!!!

You Can Be Better Than You Are

How many 'clicks' does it take to get to your exact destination on flash earth? Find out at flashearth.com. With practice you can do it in three. Try to hone in on your house or try to hone in on my favorite target, the Matterhorn in Disneyland. Can anyone do it in two? Dare you to try! Here's a cool site: mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/. Keeps you up to date on the Curiosity rover, which is beginning to study a pyramid shaped rock in its driving path. Play games, check out science on Mars, gaze at the heavens. Some starry music for your weekend. Want to swing on a star? Yes you do. Admit it. We all do. This'll make you wish you could. Always wanted to carry a moonbeam home in a jar and pour it in my ovaltine. Then drink moonlight. Didn't you ever wanna? PS. and this one goes out to her. She knows who she is. The tune 'Well....All Right' says it, 'foolish kids can't be ready....' yeah we were foolish, that IS what the people said. Still are too. But so are you or you wouldn't keep showing up at the milkshake beyond all good sense. Yet here you are, aren't you? Now let's let Buddy rock us into the weekend.

breezing

Where do you go to shoot the breeze? Who with? And when you shoot it, how much breeze do you shoot? There is a tune that might help you in your breeze-shooting ventures. This might be it. Let's let Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66 slide out 'mas que nada' to you--which is really about nothing. Perfect for it....

a million kilowatt dam

Autumnal equinox approaches. Means it's getting dark sooner. In a week it will be equal parts day and night. Don't let the gathering night get you low. Check out this little retro charmer for a blast-from-the-past full of heart. I dare you to watch this clip and not smile. And I don't mean your adult 'nicey-nice' smile. I mean your big, sloppy, youthful, stupid-grinnin' smile, the one deep down inside that needs to bust out now n then so you still feel like a kid smile. ....Yeah. THAT ONE. Uh-huh. Your million kilowatt grin. C'mon. Bring it! BRING IT!!

they put the awe in awesome

Surfer Girl from Brian and the boys circa 2012 (but who we kidding let's throw out the silly calendar since they stopped time with their eternal harmonies. So sweet.). One lyrical question: if 'we could ride the surf together while our love would grow', then wouldn't they run the risk of "over-foaming"? Smirk. Maybe even getting "board" with one another? Hah! and Hee-Hee! Enjoy. 'Footnote' Brian has Chuck Taylors on. Nice!

Comin Atchya

Oui so glad you share. The Milkshake line is never off the hook. So like Wolfman Jack used to say, call me, visit me, reach out and say hello. Got a request? Hit me up....I'm never asleep......Here's another update to our spin-offs. Someone noticed that the 70s hit show Police Story spun off Police Woman, which starred Angie D. And wasn't she easy on the eyes! Voooom! Nice job blogger and texter JJ with an assist from anonymous. Oh u sneaky ones. There was some discussion about that final scene in American Grafitti when they're out on Paradise road and Milner "creams him right off the line". Yeah, it's a deuce coupe he's driving. We'll cover that some other day. Where o where has our adventurous dog SPIRIT gone? One month and counting and no sign of him. Oh well that was then and this is now. If you ever want to make comment (as some of you do) you can email me at trb4320@yahoo.com or you can tweet me at trb4320 or for those who already know just text my cell phone. Gamer? you know I hang around out on Big Kahuna Reef. See ya on the next big ocean wave!
